When I am not fasting on 17 Tammuz or 9 Av, usually for reasons of pregnancy/nursing so feeling weak, I feel like I'm in no man's land. I have to take care of the little kids all on my own because dh is still fasting so I don't have any time to read about galus or anything inspirational.
They don't nap, won't sit in front of a video for a long time...
And I'm not even fasting, so I can't fall back on the "as long as you fast you've done your job" way of thought, like I do on Yom Kippur. anyone else feel the same way?

Why don't you try the "as long as you're taking care of your children. That's your role as a Jewish mother at this stage in your life" line?
