I'm expecting a baby soon, and my husband s grandmothers name is Chaya Tzivia. If I have a girl we might name for her, but we have living relatives named Chaya and Chana. Any ideas for names that are similar in meaning or sound?

Living relatives is ok unless parents. Uncle is ok etc. Also with Tzivia it's not the same name
Ayala? I mistook a Haya for a Ayala. Maybe because Chayala

if you are naming for her then doesn't it have to be her name?

My name is Chaya and my grandmother is Chana she would be very insulted. And we want to give 2 names. Any other ideas?

That's a hard one. There aren't a lot of other girl's names that mean life.

OP, what was your grandmother's defining characteristic? You can append that to Tsviya, and name her thus.

How about Chai? (Like chaya but without the "a" at the end)
Plus, once you're changing the name, it's a different name. Just do plain Tzivia, or add any name that you love.
