My DD is 6 months old. We had a rough ride with nursing and ended up exclusively bottle feeding from approx 3 months old. She's never been the greatest eater, not that you can tell with her blown up cheeks, double chin and cutest pulkes At the moment, she'll drink 120mL of formula every 3 hours (during the day), which is understandably quite inconvenient... She's not a great napper either, so she'll wake up long before her next bottle is due. Any tips how to stretch out the times between her bottles so she'll drink more at less frequent intervals?
I've also tried introducing solids for the last month or so. She enjoys little pieces of bread/challa but when it comes to purees off a spoon, she refuses after a couple of attempts. What goes in gets pushed straight back out with her tongue. It seems like she hasn't worked out the swallowing part yet! I haven't been overly consistent and tried feeding her every single day bc she just doesn't seem interested. Any tips to help me/her adjust to solids?

I could have written most of this post- describes my kid pretty well.
We sized up bottle nipples and upped the feedings to 6 or sometimes 8 oz at a time, which gets her to stretch to 3.5 hours (sometimes). I just unlinked the napping and bottle schedule since they weren't lining up nicely.
For solids, I found that sometimes I needed to play with the texture by adding either water or oatmeal to get it right for her at the beginning. I also found that if I put a small piece of avocodo straight into her mouth it worked better and helped her learn to eat it. But yes, at the beginning the food comes right back out. Then suddenly one day they gobble it all down.

Why do you think you’re supposed To space the bottles more. Every 3 hours is 100% normal and exactly where a 6 month old should be

She is obviously a great eater if she is chubby. If she wasn't consuming enough calories she wouldn't look like that. Her body knows how much to eat, how often. Luckily nobody can mess that up yet. When we stop listening to our hunger and satiety signals we become overweight or worse. Keep offering het solids and eventually she'll be interested.
