We're going on vacation soon and we're flying out of Newark Airport. We really wanted to get dropped off directly in front of our terminal because it's so convenient but the taxi services that I called are $120 and up each way which is quite a bit more compared to parking near the airport. What is our best option? Any tips/advice are appreciated.

We always park a car nearby. That way we don't rely on anyone else. If we are traveling with a bunch of people, then we drop everybody off in front of the terminal and only one person goes to the parking and shuttles back.

Where are you coming from? There's a direct bus from Lakewood, and a direct train from Monsey, though if there are enough of you it won't save much.

You can park on the streets near by and then Uber into the airport. But find a safe place to park as we had a bad experience parking on the streets nearby. Good luck!

You can self park, (in the winter definitely look for a covered lot - we once came back to a snowed in car), uber or public transport.

Depending on the length of the trip either parking or cab can be cheaper. Both have pros and cons

Drop off in front vs having to get a shuttle
Cost
Having your own carseats installed
Having to drive home tired on the way back

I use ABC airport parking. It's $7 a day and they shuttle you to your terminal

Were you happy with them overall? Was it easy to find? Was it a van or a shuttle that took you to the airport?

Go to NJ Transit. It leaves from the station near the Clifton/Main Street co op.
