Hi! I'm looking for a new dining room table and chairs.

Looking for something simple, classic and elegant.

Chairs should be comfortable.

I have young kids at home so looking for something easy to clean and no light colors.

Budget friendly. Looking to spend under $600 (table and 6-8 chairs)

Looking for links or brand suggestions. Or if you have a great idea for chairs that are out of budget I can look for them 2nd hand. I just need to know what type of chair to look for.

What are your suggestions?

You will not find all of those in your budget if you want something quality.

Quality chairs run around $200+.

I went through this recently and ended up spending much more than I had anticipated but I love what I got.

If you want easy to clean, you should get vinyl, wood or metal because it wipes clean.

I see many dining room tables on Craigslist. Many people don’t have the lifestyle to want or need them.

I had a beautiful table and chairs from my parents’ house and at first I thought about selling them so I looked at Craigslist to see what sets were selling for. It just wasn’t worth it to go through the headache of listing it. I wound up giving it away to my neighbor’s brother at the last minute and was happy someone wanted it.

Lots of baby boomers are downsizing or dying and their kids don’t want their furniture so it is flooding the market.
