Hi,
Does anyone know if lake Welch (near Monsey) is open these days? Also, is It usually packed, or could we find a quiet spot? Finally, since it's a man made beach, are there seashells we could collect? Thank you!

I'm almost sure they're closed now, though I might be wrong.
It gets extremely crowded in nice weather. You can't really find a quiet spot because it's not that big of a beach.

If you go early in the morning, its empty. There are no seashells. The harriman park has many lakes and nice spots to see.

I don't recommend it on Sundays or any time on nice weather when school is off.
It's packed.
