place large plastic (disposable) plastic table cloth on counter - under mixer, when I bake. Don't need to worry about all the mess from flour etc. And then once done - roll up cloth and discard and counter is immediately, and effortlessly clean!

Someone wrote about disposable aluminium pots being unhealthy. I also heard that and started putting parchment paper inside when making kigel, chicken etc.
Also I've heard that it's not got to use aluminium pots especially with spicy stuff as noodles are normally not spicy I would think it's fine.

Using a mug for ice cream instead of a bowl. It is so much easier to scoop out and mess free. I guarantee you'll never go back to using a bowl again

I shower upstairs. So when I being my laundry down.o don't bend over and pick it up off the floor bc it hurts. So I kick it over to the landing. Walk a few steps down... Like four or five then turn and the clothes are on my level so I can easily pick them up

I love life hacks! I’ve integrated so many into my life that I totally don’t remember what they are LOL

Here are a few:

1) We make our own healthy microwave popcorn. Put A handful of plain kernels in a Paper bag, double fold the top shut. Microwave 2-3 minutes. Pour into a bowl, spray with pan and salt liberally.

2) Freeze chicken cutlets in a marinade, then we can defrost and pop straight in to the grill

3) When slicing cinnamon buns or similar dough, use unwaxed dental floss. Place it under the dough, cross the ends over each other on top and pull right through the dough.

4) Dry erase board and marker on the fridge to keep an ongoing shopping list. As soon as an item is finished, we add it to the list! If something is finished on shabbos, we leave the empty container on the counter so we remember to write it after shab is over

I’m sure I have more but these are what I came up with so far.

Freeze soup, meatballs, chicken cutlets etc flat in bags. Less dense, much quicker to defrost (or remove desired amount).

I love this rhread!

First process onions and saute separately for 5 - 8 minutes. Process other veggies and add to pot. Saute for 30 minutes. Stir frequently to prevent burning.Let cool.
Divide into 8 sandwich bags or ziploc bags. Freeze.

Quick n Easy vegetable soup. put 3 quarts of water in a pot. Add a frozen veggie baggie (don't have to defrost). Add a package of frozen vegetables: Mixed vegetables, broccoli and/or cauliflower, butternut squash, peas n carrots, etc. Canned mushrooms
Add Salt and Pepper. optional: add squirt ketchup.
Cook for 45 minutes. Done!

Or add RAW vegetables like potatoes, sliced carrots, butternut squash, zuchinni.
But with raw vegetables have to cook about two hours.

Glue a small pad to fridge.

When you notice you are low on an item (like mayonaise or foil) mark it down on pad.

Before going to store, rip off top page - your shopping list is done.

Google Keep folks. When I realize I'm out of any item, I add it to my list on Google Keep, which is automatically shared with my husband, or anyone else I want to have access to it. So whenever either of us go to the store, we have a current list. I can even keep adding stuff as my husband is shopping, assuming he hasn't checked out yet.

A paper pad?

I prefer paper cause dry erase can easily smear - and you can't just peel it off to
take to store with you.
