I am expecting soon iyh and don't know what I am having but I like to be prepared because I find myself very hormonal postpartum and its hard to make a decision when my judgment is so clouded.
For a boy we would like to name yosef with another name attached. So far the options I am considering are dovid and aryeh. Do either of these names go well with yosef or any other names you can suggest? We like to keep to simple names

Yosef Dovid works very well.
Yosef Ariyeh is fine to, but I like the Dovid better.

My brother in law is Yosef Dovid, and my cousin is Yosef Aryeh, so they both sound very natural to me.
I think I like Yosef Aryeh more, because the second name starts with an A so it flows better.

Lots of names go nicely with Yosef. When deciding which to choose, it's good to keep in mind the initials in English and Hebrew. For example, I wouldn't want to be named Bina Leeba Markowitz right now. (My apologies to any Bina Leeba Markowitzes reading this). My sister's initials ended up being S.S. after marriage which isn't very palatable either.

The names you mentioned op, somehow, Yosef Aryeh seems more fluent.

My initials were S.S. until I got married, and my sisters initials are B.S.
It's fine. Don't worry about it. You can't control everything. Just name your kid after a good person, or a name you like or whatever. When Bina Leeba Markowitz was born, nobody knew it would ever be a problem. You can't overthink things too much. You can't control everything.

My son is Yosef Aharon so I think Yosef Aryeh would also sound nice. I dont like how Yosef Dovid flows but thats just me.

True, I wouldn't not give a name I wanted because of the initials, but if she's looking for a second name and open to different options, she might as well make her decision with an eye toward what the initials will end up being.
