Fios is not yet readily available all over Brooklyn. Maybe that's why there are no responses. In my neighborhood in BP they currently breaking ground and working on the fiber optic lines.

Oh, I thought if I have it now, in the 14/50 area, with very few internet users, haha, then its all over BP.

No news is good news. You dont get bumped off ever unless your own house wires get accudentally cut.

With Optimum, getting bumped is caused by an issue other than cut wires. There are days that the internet goes on and off like a light switch, and the next day its great with no repairs. I would assume if wires get cut they need to be repaired.
Im switching to Verizon Fios, so I hope and pray this doesnt happen with Verizon.

I've had Fios for about 9 years (crown heights). Never get bumped off. Once or twice there were wire issues that were fixed promptly.

I'm in Queens. We usually will only get bumped off if there's been a really bad storm, and even that isn't every time.
They only other glitch is that sometimes they'll do a reboot in the middle of the night, so we may lose internet/cable for a minute or two around two in the morning. Not often, but it does happen rarely from time to time.
