It’s pretty nippy here in the AM but warms up during the day. My child gets hot pretty fast but I don’t want them to be cold in the morning. Do I dress them summery with a sweatshirt? Long pants and short sleeves?

How about short sleeve top, long pants, and zip up hoodie that can be taken off as weather warms up?

I would go with either of those. It's not easy to balance!

Long pants, short sleeves and a sweatshirt that can fit in their knapsack when they take it off. Make sure the sweatshirt is labeled in case it doesn’t make its way into the knapsack.

Layers is the answer, as others have said. They can wear thin sweaters over short sleeves. Or they can wear thin longs. Although the days start out cool, it rarely gets hot enough for a child to not handle long sleeves later in the day.

Long sleeve, light clothing, sweatshirt on top that can be removed.

For my daughter I do long sleeve dress, lightweight, with short socks and sweatshirt. If you do long pants then short sleeve should be fine.

On days like today I like to do long sleeve cotton outfit and layer with a zippered sweater that can be removed.

My kids wear long pants, short sleeves and a thin jacket in this weather.

Just make sure you let the morah know that the child is allowed to take off layers/jackets. It seems silly to say but some places have very strict regulations where if the child is sent with xyz on, they have to wear xyz the whole day (same as when they were dropped off). Better to be safe and clarify!
