I have an apt with no place to store a succah, but we have space to build one outside.

Usually, I go away for succor, but I am nervous bec of corona as my relatives don't take precaution.

I have a pop up succah, but in past yes, it fell in middle of Yom tov bec of high winds.
I wanted to try again this year, does anyone use a pop up succah or know how to make it stay up.

We build it on the ground in the yard.

I think the sechach is heavier than the bottom which is why it fell from high winds.
I was planning to put something heavy inside but thought maybe someone on here may have ideas???

Anyone??

Can you tie all four corners with heavy twine to the balcony gates? Also the s'chach.

Yes.

Take a (long) piece of solid string (does not have to be very thick) and make crosses tracing the two diagonals of each wall and tighten them well. That will stabilize the walls...

I think it's called "diagonal bracing" if you want to google it...

I had the same problem with my sukka, and happened to have an architect among my helpers... we did it... problem solvend... just with string, the kind you use to bind together your old paper...

You need to find something to anchor it to. That's really for any sukkah but especially one that's lightweight. Good luck!
