Would it be odd to name a child Chana Penina? (Odd because they were both the wives of Elkana)

Chana and Penina are both family names and I think they sound nice together, but would love to know if the name would come off as weird for the reason above. Thanks for your input!

I like it.
I'd never know that there was some biblical relation between the two.

You are not supposed to name someone after two people who were on bad terms with each other.

I don’t like how they sound together, but as in all other name threads, its a personal opinion.

Right, but they wouldn't be named for the women in the Tanach, they would be named for DH's grandmother and great grandmother.

I think the name would still sound odd because of that reason.

How would people know who she was named after?

Many will assume that she is named after the women in Tanach.

I think they sound odd to my ears. Probably because they both ends with "na".

I doubt most people would assume that. I've noticed that a lot of things that we think people will find odd, they totally don't - it doesn't even occur to them.
As an aside - I know someone who shares an interesting combination of names from Tanach with her husband and son. her son is named after a grandfather (they didn't do it to be funny) but I don't think most people find it odd, just slightly cute. And only when they actively think about it.
I say go for it. I think it's a nice name

I know a Penina Chana, called Penina

However, she's named for relatives, not for Elkana's wives

Personally I don't love it. I don't love a lot of combinations with name Chana. I have a relative Chana elisheva and tzipora Chana and I think bothe are off honestly but it's a personal preference.

Tzipora Chana was R' Arye Levine's rebbetzin

Didn't know that. Still dont like name together but makes sense that's who she was named after as this family named all their kids after rabbanim or their wives ...

Sounds a little weird to me because they were sort of adversaries. It’s not the same as Rochel Leah.

I immediately thought of the tanach story, and I wouldn't do it. Not because they are in the same story but because they didn't get along.

I wouldn't be against pairs like Avraham Yitzchak or Yael Dvora, but something sits wrong with me with Chana Penina. Just my opinion.

It's in the haftara for the first day of Rosh Hashana.
