Lots of veggies in all forms, 3 portions of fruit, specially in the morning, and proteins that are high on the satiety index (white fish, chicken breast).

So instead of dividing the plate 1/2 veggies 1/4 carb 1/4 protein, I do 3/4 veggies 1/4 protein...
or, more precisely, I make a raw veggies starter (salad) and than cooked veggies with the protein...

If you don't feel full, add a low glycemic index carb like quinoa or brown rice, or a high satiety index carb like boiled potatoes...

Also try the trick with the starter - salad or veggie soup - this might give your meal the time you need to feel full - which is 20 minutes...

Also: with white fish, you can have a lot, 3 filets are 100 g, and you can easily have more than that...so try a whole trout or so...

You have to do what suits you best...
I used to do something called "loosing weight while sleeping", and this was a nice combination of low-carb and less low-carb.

They said : eat carbs as much as you want in the morning, cobine protein and carbs at noon, avoid carbs in the evening...

I did not take it religiously, I just replaced the carbs with veggies on average one meal a day, did not have to be supper...

So you really can keep this idea of the plate: either 1/2 veggie, 1/4 carb (low glycemic index) 1/4 protein, or you adjust 1/2 veggie 1/2 protein or 1/2 veggie 1/2 carb...

Studies show that it does not really matter, what matters is that you like it and can stick to it...

Then you’re doing something wrong. Eating all protein and only vegetable carbs plus healthy fats, cuts all hunger and cravings.

If you're just starting out with low/no carb, it can take a week or so to adjust.

I eat lots of filling veggies - zucchini, beets, sweet potatoes. I find that cooked veggies are more filling than raw (soup is way more filling than salad!)

Include healthy fats - avocado, nuts, lentils.

Also - are you drinking enough?

I find protein still makes by blood sugar rise and fall, so a quantity of it does make me hungry. I eat it very moderately.

And lots of vegetable carbs does not equal low carb.

You need to add fats
Use the veggies as a vehicle for your fat
Also - track your veggies
Do some research on keto

Are you eating fruit?
That can sabotage all your efforts

I start my day off with a blended buttered coffee
2 Tbsp butter blended into hot coffee
It sounds strange but it’s actually VERY delicious and decadent. Very satisfying.

Then around 11 - I have a very large leafy green salad with full fat homemade mayo and 2 eggs or tuna or leftover protein from dinner, protein about 4oz.

Around 4:30/5
I’ll have a very large leafy green salad with mayo dressing
with a FATTY protein, about 4oz
Sometimes I’ll have a little bit of a hot veg
Mushrooms, spinach, cauliflower, broccoli, celery, anything that’s less than 5g carbs/100grams. And then I’ll have a small portion
Sometimes I’ll add some bone broth, sometimes plain sometimes I’ll add my low carb veggie to it.

I mix up my proteins as not to get bored
Chicken, steak, fish, eggs and cheese, ground beef,
Sometimes I’ll make cauliflower pizza, chaffles-cheese waffles, or cream cheese egg pancakes- but for the most part I stick to fleishigs, since it keeps me satisfied the longest, especially for dinner

I needed to lose 50lbs
In the beginning I lost about 5 lbs a month
I lose very slowly.
So far I’ve lost 25lbs. 😃
But for the last 4 months I haven’t lost
I go down 3 and back up 3
But I’ve noticed other health benefits, energy, skin issues resolving, diminished joint pain.
My eye floaters have disappeared.

I know I need to add some exercise. I’m lazy when it comes to this. I just can’t find something I enjoy.

I try to stay away from sweets/treats, even if they are low carb. Also I try not to eat nuts- when ever I had treats or nuts I over did it.
I make treats for Shabbos but now I make a very small portion as to not over do it. Sometimes I just don’t make it.

One last thing - I drink at least 64oz of water. I try more, but I don’t like to use the bathroom outside of my home.

What do you mean by low sugar
All carbs turn into sugar in the blood stream
Even fruits and veggies
I think “officially” low carb means less than 100g of carb a day
BUT- keto- atkins keep to 20g of carbs
There is a machloket wether it’s net or total carb

I eat more often I find it in wait to too long between meals, I can't get full from just veg and proteins. I have a nut and a fruit between breakfast and lunch and another snack between lunch and dinner. Like others said add fats.
