Not sure how to convice you that my dr said this but wtvr. He has been a pretty vocal dr throughout the pandemic.. |
Should have clarified- these are people who tested positive on non-rapids. Same day they tested negative on rapids.

They are considered contagious 2 days before first symptoms or 2 days before positive test, whichever is first. If you were exposed more than 48 hours before symptoms or testing you were not exposed. |
I just checked it was within 48 hrs.
Can I just check the rest of us for antibodies?

You need to call your doctor, and you need to get out of your office so you don't infect people.

I don't know of anyone who considers antibodies testing significant vis a vis transmitting covid. So I personally would not.

OP antibodies are NOT a reliable indicator. That is why you wont find any guidelines that include them in a consideration.
Im really really sorry but everyone who was exposed to this person does need to quarantine.
And it is possible for them to have negative tests now, but have a positive test for example 10 days from now. That is why the guidelines say to quarantine. They dont include considerations for negative tests, because you have 14 days until your positive test can show up!
Please.
We are trying to stop this spread.
Please be reaponsible. I know its hard.
But ive had too many of my beloved nursing home residents die from covid...we need to stop the apread.
Signed,
A nurse who deals with covid
Ps- I do know of someone personally who tested positive for covid a few weeks ago for a second time. The first time she had it was in april.
She had symptoms both then AND now (thats why she went to test). Craziest thing is, she still has antibodies now. Less than she had before, but still a decent level
