It's possible the 17 cubic foot one was purchased because of the height. I don't remember the specifics, but it was the only one that could get up and down our basement stairs (with the door unscrewed). Once in the basement, I have enough space. It was the journey up & down.

Is the Frigidaire upright freezer is frost free. It doesn’t mention anything about it online.

I strongly discourage a chest freezer. Way too hard to find things and stuff gets all mixed up. You definitely want an upright freezer.
