I haven’t liked using commonsense media for a while now because all their reviews are biased toward far left liberal views...
They also don’t have reviews of many of the books we want to check out.
Are there other reputable sites for reviewing books/videos?

For movies, the IMDb parents guide doesn’t give a general rating - they give specific examples in various categories like violence, drugs, romance, language, etc. for each movie. So you look up the title, and see what might be problematic, then make your decision. I find that very helpful because things like “pg-13” are sooo vague.

Regarding the liberal views— in their reviews, the more diverse and lgbtq the cast is the more they rave about the movie... they also push movies that are antithetical to my views.. honestly, this is just my opinion! I’m uncomfortable using this source but others may love it!

So interesting! I find that to be true also. However, they still break down categories violence, s-xy stuff, commercialism, etc. And then detail each instance. So I still find it helpful as it tells me what's in there that I would object to.

I also like to look at the 1 and 2 star reviews in Amazon. I find that is where all the parents review with a fine tooth comb.

Good idea with the one or two stars!! I usually end skimming a bunch of reviews and it takes sooo long to really see the gist of the book!
