I made an order and they delivered cage free brown eggs. Is there a difference in taste or freshness?

Color of shell has no relationship to taste, freshness or fertility of eggs. Brown shells are harder to see through, so brown-shelled eggs are more likely to have blood spots because the ones with spots are less likely to be caught during candling. Eggs of cage-free hens are also more likely to have blood spots. Cage free and brown is thus a double whammy.
