hi, my baby is less than a month old. I barely left my house and have been so carful but came down with a cold so I got tested.

under my results it says "detected" under YOUR VALUE, but then it says "not detected" under REFERENCE RANGE.

so do I have corona or not?

just want to make sure I take the right precautions.

Covid is positive . The range is like what the result should be when it’s not positive.

Ask dr where you took the test. Each office have their own way!

You have covid. Reference range is the “normal” range which would be a person who had no covid so no covid would be detected. If it shows it’s detected then you have covid

Thanks everyone!
Now Im really worried to be with my baby as she is so young and I'm not nursing which I heard can provide immunity.

Her pediatrician told me to wear a mask around her but how is that going to help her not get it if Im with her 24/7 and my baby comes to my bed in the morning...

entirely possible it's a false positive from the cold. I'd continue to stay home, but go about business as usual as far as baby is concerned.

[How could a cold cause a false positive for COVID? OP, please follow your doctor's advice! - edited by mod.]

OP, please go with the recommendations of your baby's pediatrician, not with the suggestions of randos.
