Beef Liver

Bought it for first time. Does it taste good raw (broiled) or should rather saute with onions?

As an aside, what's the shortage of chicken liver? Went from store to store....

I tasted beef liver once, it was so awful.
Every year before pesach the stores are out of liver fast. You have to buy early.

It looks awful but decided to buy anyway. I really counted on liver as the meat for 2 meals. We mash it with hard boiled eggs and our family loves it.

I don't think you can mash beef liver, it's very rough. It tastes nothing like chicken liver, don't count on it as a main.

I have done it many times with a machine and it tastes delicious. Add sautéed onions, mayo, hard boiled eggs, salt, pepper, and garlic.
