It comes in a vacuum pack - says to add sugar and spices
Does that mean I take it out the sealed vacume bag?
Or do I cook it in the bag and put spices on top. But how would that enhance the flavor ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ
Thx !

To cook it according to package instructions, you take it out of the vacuum bag.
There are other methods of cooking it that involve leaving it in the plastic

Open the bag and remove the corned beef. Rinse briefly. (It's vacuum packed to seal in the pickling until you buy it.)
For a 4 pound corned beef, put it into a deep pan with snug bottom (roast should take up the surface of the bottom of the pan so you don't lose flavor).
Add water to almost/barely cover.
Cover tightly and bake at 300 for 4 hours.
If making in advance, bake for 3 hours. Cool overnight. Slice and refrigerate/freeze. Store/freeze liquid separately as well.
Rewarm in liquid.

How did this come out? Do you need to first soak/boil and spill out water so itโs not too salty?
