I kah have 6 children that passed this age. They all had a stage that they did this. It never occurred to me to have the kid evaluated. What has our world come to? Can't we just let kids be kids? Sometimes it's just their need to give themselves out. Their not hurting anybody, they're not damaging anything. My 6 yr old now I can totally see having the same stage too very soon. And no I will not get dc evaluated.
Even it's as op says high strung, so what?! The kid is only 8.

I didn’t read it all.
I don’t think of it as earning or punishing.
Think of it as a natural consequence. You need to show that you can behave if you want to go to someone’s house or the pizza store.
If she struggles to behave, give her easy wins, provide lots of positive reinforcement and encouragement.
