I thought I was stupid for years that’s what I was led To believe in school. It took me almost 35 years to realize I’m very smart in ways that matter more in life then book smart. People ask me advice and ive got a deep understanding of human nature. It’s a shame I wasted so many years not knowing my own strengths . So op maybe you too are not stupid. Maybe its what you’ve been led to believe

There are people with asperger's who are really smart in things like tech or math, who are really stupid in interpersonal relationships. Lots of the famous scientists inventors/tech geeks have zero social skills or emotional intelligence.

You don't get everything in life.

Brains aren't everything. Smarter doesn't equal better. It takes all kinds of people to run this world and you are valuable no matter what your brain power is. You can give love, joy, inspiration, encouragement, laughter, affection, kindness, patience, and support to everyone you encounter making the world a better place.

This. The smarter someone thinks they are , the greater the disparity between how smart they actually are and how smart they think they are. I’ve met some really dumb people , and they have no idea how dumb they are .

This made me really sad. Please love yourself a little more! I'm sure you're not stupid. If you're loving and kind and giving, that takes intelligence. Not everyone is academic or an intellectual. Also, some people have unwarranted high opinions of themselves--that doesn't make them smart. Just because you may not know everything or occasionally make mistakes, doesn't mean you're stupid. I have much more respect for people who are humble. Why don't you sit down and make a list of all the great things you've done in your life!

I like to tell my students (I teach in a high school) about multiple intelligences. Just because you aren't good at math or science or history (aka book start), doesn't mean you aren't smart at something else! There are people who are good with music. Good with kids. Good with other people. They are different types of intelligences. Please think about what you enjoy doing, or what your talents are, and channel those areas !!
