which store?

Ohh.. it was a while ago. I think I bought it in 2020! I still like it though but the arms of the armchairs are getting shaky….
I bought it from Katz’s furniture. I priced around in the neighborhood and they had the best prices. Other stores had better quality but the prices were insanely high.

I’ve used Lugg for this kind of moving a small amount of furniture.

My parents paid $600 per chair 20 years ago. My relative owns a furniture store, if you can find chairs for $500, you’re getting quite a bargain!

My chairs are from wayfair, just because that’s what I could afford. But it’s common knowledge that chairs are an absolute fortune

If you are open to getting a second hand set, you should follow Yad Shniya on WhatsApp. On average they have 2 or 3 sets listed for sale per day in the fridge state area - message them to be added to the chat (732) 820-7878

Are they all dark wood?

I got a gorgeous custom table on consignment. I paid 900 including delivery. it seats 14-16.

Chairs I got from FB marketplace in amazing condition. $50 a chair.

I have a lovely dining room but no one would call it glamourous.

I got a breakfront, server/buffet, table and 8 chairs for about $10,000 if I remember correctly, 24 years ago. Last year I replaced the chairs with cheap Amazon chairs that look much more modern and updated the whole room. For however long they last, they were cheap enough.

I got a dining room set at ItalMod (https://italmodfurniture.com/collections/dining-sets) for a fraction of the price. I love it.
You can buy chairs individually I assume as well. However, I believe they would also come to a few hundred per chair. When factoring in the table and curio, the full set was a lot cheaper than if I would have bought local.

Craigslist table - maybe 100? Chairs were like 125 for all 8. Family was making aliyah. In 15 years of marriage our only new real furniture is our couches. Not because we can't afford anything new we just don't prioritize it. Ok I'm lying, I can afford a table for 12k. I'd spend that on a car. We are big hand me down fans.

I sprayed with scotchguard and they clean nicely with damp paper towels. I haven’t had any major spills on them though so I can’t tell you that they would hold up well to tomato sauce… grape juice hasn’t been a problem.
They’re not great quality, but they look nice and have gotten quite a few compliments. I wanted new chairs and wasn’t looking for a lifetime commitment so for my purposes they are fine.
