I bought off someone’s chairs that was a very hight end set but material was peeling… repainted it black and got a really cool fabric from
Manhatan… spent like $300 on a chair but it’s exactly what I wanted… love them

I paid a little over $8,000 for a table with 1 leaf than can seat 10, 6 chairs, and 2 small curios. I bought the set about a year ago. The chairs were on the cheaper, simpler side, but the table and curios are stunning and high quality.

If you check the classified section of the Sunday Times "estate sales", you may come across people selling all their furniture, including dining rooms. I bought my beautiful dining room set with 12 chairs
from such an ad. It's a classic traditional set and was in perfect condition. I think I paid $6000.
