Thinking of this because of the matzav.com article.
https://matzav.com/email-spam-.....e-it/
I get all sorts of weird spam to my gmail account, but it's not even addressed to my email address!!! How does that work?
Let's say I'm Dena613@gmail.com
I get garbage addressed to Dena6131256@gmail.com, to DenaSi613@gmail.com...
Etc.
How does that end up in my inbox?
ALSO, I can put things in spam on my PC, but not on my phone.
Can you flag things to spam on iPhone version of gmail?
Thanks in advance

Is there a plus or dot after your name in the email address.
Gmail will allow to appen anything after . Or +
This is helpful if when you apply to forms online you can figure out who sold your info. Like apply to contest as deena613+cooking@gmail.com. Any time you get mail to that address you know they sold your address. Or you can change the ending to enter contests multiple times.
So if there is a . Or + that may be why it is working.

It’s also possible your email is in the bcc and they just filled it with millions of versions of deena613 and by chance they got one of your correct.

By bcc I mean they can hide the list of who the emails are going to. So there can be a hidden list of hundreds of versions of dena on one in the list happens to be your exact address. But bec it is hidden you can’t see it.
