I have formula expiring 2/1/22. My Dr gave me a bunch of samples. Would you use it after the date?
Baby is almost 1 month old.

I would and I have. In CHOP, they told me there's nothing wrong with expired formula for at least 6 more months but they're not allowed to tell me to use it. This was for Neocate. I don't know if other formulas are different.

I would be too nervous for such a young baby but why don't you ask your Dr.

What's the difference between using it on Jan 31 and Feb 1?

It’s probably fine but I wouldn’t take even a slight risk when it comes to an infant so young and vulnerable.

I personally would use it for another month or 2. but not if it's been opened more than a month ago. It's canned and stays fresh, but once open it isn't.

I think all opened formula is supposed to be used within one month. I have used sealed, expired formula but would not use any formula that's been open more than a month.
