looking for recipes of blended fruit (not juiced as its just sugar) without sugar or any other sweeteners to make healthy ices for kids. which fruits go well together?

is it even possible? (cooking fruit long enough sweetens compote but don't know how cooked blended fruit frozen tastes)

I am also open to recipes containing full fat natural yogurt etc.

We make smoothies all the time with frozen fruit and almond milk. Delicious! You can just freeze them for a yummy ice pop.

Mangoes and blueberries are a great combo, but almost any fruits go together wonderfully.

If you include bananas it will be much creamier.

I've made something similar to this and it's a delicious flavor combination. If you use sweet summer watermelon (not available yet) you don't really need sweetener IMO.

I pre froze the watermelon and strawberries and blended it with lime juice to make a frozen drink/ sorbet. (Sometimes I'll add fresh mint too which is delicious.)

This is the same flavor profile in an ice pop.

If you pre freeze the fruit and blend you can make sorbet pops.

why do you pre freeze the fruit first?

Blend frozen fruit, freeze, blend again, freeze again, and then freeze in molds. Doing that will give you soft ices.

Combos we like is
Strawberry
Strawberry/mango
Strawberry/pineapple
Peach/oat milk
Blueberry/passion fruit
Kiwi/strawberry
Lemonade
Cherries

I sometimes add yogurt with a little bit of honey. Otherwise any parve milk.

Any amount of bananas added you’ll taste in the end results. Small amounts of avocado can be hidden well.

No the lime juice is for flavor.

The prefreezing gives it the soft texture.

You can freeze it in a large pan. Then break into chucks about 3-4 hours later, and re-blend. I’d use the food processor for this. If you want super creamy, repeat 1-2 times. After the last blending, put it into the ice pop molds.

It’s the extra air that is created while blending that makes it soft frozen.

Imagine freezing heavy cream with sugar, it would be an icy brick. The process of adding air while freezing is what makes ice cream delicious!
