Anyone have an idea why that might be? I’m eating around 35 grams of carbs a day. I thought for sure a week in I’d be at least 2 pounds down but I barely lost a pound. What’s going on??

How many calories besides that are you getting? If its less than 1800 you are starving yourself and your body is conserving calories. I personally don't believe in low carb but rather high fiber, no processed or refined sugar. Only fruits and vegetables with legumes is much better than no carbs. I do have a degree in nutrition...

How much fat are you eating? Are you feeling hungry throughout the day?

I relate to this. I needed to add sweet potato, sourdough bread, etc to my diet to loose weight.

Can be sugar related. Try cutting out all sugars and sweeteners including honey.

Low carb can be a good start but the most important thing is the big picture. Have you tried logging your exact food intakes in an app like MyFitnessPal? You could be having way too much sugar, or way too much fat. Getting enough protein is important as well. Are you physically active? You may be just eating too many calories for your activity level. Lots of things could be at play here.

No I was thinking the opposite. I did keto (low carb high fat) for close to two years. Is that what you're trying to do? Usually at the beginning of keto ppl drop weight very quickly bc it's water weight. Maybe post an example of what you're eating.

Breakfast - coffee milkshake with coffee, xylitol and a mixture of heavy cream and milk

Snack - Quest chocolate chip cookie - 4 net grams with a hot coffee

Lunch - 1 tin tuna in oil

Snack - baby carrots

Dinner - chicken or meat with spices and a vegetable

You can't judge from one week. Weight can take longer than that to come off. Try it for a month and I would venture to guess you would see much greater results.

Do you drink enough water? Work out?

You should eat between 1200-1500 calories to see results. Not less

Why dont you eat a regular breakfast, instead of coffee & cake?
Why do you only have tuna for lunch & not eat veggies with it?

A combination of complex carbs, protein and healthy fat at each meal or snack. Healthiest is to have small portions 6 times a day as apposed to large portions 3 times a day. Drink plenty of water. I like the Eat Clean book.

Carrots are not a low carb veggie and milk has carbs also.
It doesn't look like you're eating That much... Are you satiated with this? If you're trying to do keto I would up the fat intake and incorporate more low carb veggies.

Your not eating enough fat and protein. Your body thinks it's starving so it's holding onto the weight.
Eat fat, protein and vegetables at each meal.
Eggs, fish, chicken ,meat, cheese, avocado, nuts etc
You can't just cut out the carbs you need to replace them with other nutrient dense foods.

I eat half a cup of baby carrots and a total of 1 cup of milk. I’m really counting. I am trying to do keto. I really struggle to eat veggies except at dinner. I’ll see how I can up the fat
