This sounds silly but has anyone worn their hat fall on a flight? Did you have to take off your hat when you went through security? Because I don’t exactly want to walk around with an obvious clipped on wig…
The flight is domestic USA.

I have many times. Never a problem. I once had a stopover in Europe and was asked to remove it but told them it was for religious purposes and they let it go

If they are concerned they will get a TSA agent to feel your head and make sure there's nothing under your hat/tichel, whatever.

I tell them I'm wearing it for religious reasons.
I make sure to remove the metal clips that tack down my pony under my wig, otherwise they do pull me aside to another room to check underneath the hat.
