Want to do a trip to Boston in August.
Does anyone have an itinerary?
Or if you were there, I would love to hear what you did.
Looking for nature/hikes/boating/Segway.... such type of things to do.
Thinking of doing extended weekend trip - Wednesday to sunday/monday.

It’s been a long time since I was there but if you have kids & end up needing an indoor activity, check out the museum of science.

There’s swan boats
Freedom trail is historic but it’s very nice
Fenway park
The trolley might be exciting
Science museum
Oh and I think there’s some kind of boating down the Charles river

Lots of hiking around but a lot of places will require a car to get to:
Fellsway in Medford/Malden/Melrose/etc
Walden Pond in Concord (but there is swimming on hand, but most of it is kids and concentrated at the very start of the trail, so easy enough to move past it quickly if that's a concern)
Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain
Segway Tour of historic Boston/North End used to be offered - we did it about a decade ago, not sure if it still exists
Duck Boat tour
Boston Public Garden
Walking the North End
Walking the Freedom Trail
Drive up to Cape Ann and do a whale watching tour
Blue Hills Reservation in Milton, MA

We did kayaking down the Charles River. It was so relaxing and beautiful!
The whale watching off the New Hampshire coast was better than from Maine. We saw a lot more whales in NH.

Also Brighton. Most of shuls are there. Just the largest one, Young Israel, is in Brookline. May be hard to find places to stay locally in general, even during week. Hotels and Airbnb's get booked quickly in summer (and expensive!) Don't wait for last minute!
I believe JP Licks usually offers a couple of parve options.

Also Faneuil Hall/Quincey Market. Cute to walk there, sometimes are street performers there. Very close walk to Harbor from there near Aquarium.

There usually is one but it’s also usually really not tasty.

K thanks so much all for the replies!
Couldn't find any nice hotels in Brookline. Maybe I should stay in hotel further away till Shabbos and then just for Shabbos go somewhere near all the shuls.
Any recommendations near the shuls?
