Egg shell smelt a little off but when I cracked open the egg it smelt perfectly fine in the cup. It was just the shell. So nervous I baked challahs with it. just read online about the float test to smell old eggs. Dont have any eggs left to test. Should I throw away my challahs

If it is properly baked or cooked, it's safe, even if it was a bit rotten. The heat kills any bacteria that could be on or in an egg.
If it had a chemical smell, that would be more of a problem.

I think in the UK the word "smelt" is used for past tense of "smell".
