If you're working because you need to, not by choice, and you're not burnt out, which field are you in? Just wondering if that's possible in the current climate of milking workers for all they're worth!

I’m a hospital social worker. I may be a bit burnt out (20 years post grad!) but I still enjoy the work and look forward to it every day

(I also don’t relate to or understand what you’re saying about it milking workers)

I actually thought that in today's market the workers have the advantage... It's hard to find good help and employers see the importance in keeping their employees happy.

I teach a special ed class. I think I am not burnt out because:
1- I only do it part time
2- get off in the summer
3-lots of changes every year. So different students, different locations... it's hard and takes time getting it together every year, but it keeps things fresh
4- when you reach the point of the year where students are settled and learning... it's a great feeling bh

I’m a hospital based nurse practitioner. I’m less burnt out now, because I’m not a floor nurse working midnights.

I have an office job.

Which current climate of milking workers for all their worth? It's an employees market!!

My office is so busy trying to keep their loyal employees, they keep trying to boost the morale in the office with little perks - lunch here and there, contests etc.

Programmer.

I have been in my current job <1 year, but we are encouraged to learn new things every quarter to stay fresh.

In my field, it is also normal to change jobs every few years.

I am a programmer. I was burned out years ago from the long commute and stressed by juggling vacation days to handle Yom Tov and short Fridays. The situation has improved a lot lately. We can work from home several times a week and have unlimited vacation. I am much happier at work.
