The immediate reaction to thread titles? It's just a little light humor. It's generally not meant to make fun of the OP of the thread, it's just a humorous take based on how the brain interprets the title without context.

I don't even go into the actual thread most of the times that I post my 1st reaction to a thread title.
It's just a bit of fun, if it makes you upset, then block it.
In my opinion, you're too sensitive but you can't help your feelings!
People have posted a reaction to my op once (or twice) and I thought it was funny.

I understood that everyone is poking fun at themselves for reading the title in a skewed way.
If I misread your title I’ll post there to write how I read it wrong.
I thought it’s very funny to read everyone’s humorous mistakes.
I wouldn’t think the actually OP needs to be insulted.
It’s about me, not you.

I have seen my own threads being quoted on that thread, and found it funny!
I do avoid commenting on threads that are serious/sensitive/extra emotional.
But generally, it's just for fun!

I have a warped sense of humor so I see all sorts of connections. (Have you seen the Mafia euphemism thread?) But I try to be very careful with my reactions, and wouldn't do it for threads in certain forums or if the OP sounds like in a very vulnerable place. Basically, only if the OP could laugh along with us.

P.S. Has anything changed on that thread? Because looks like you've been here a while.

I think it is important to get periodic reminders that we have to be careful about ona'as devarim here.
I just took a moment to look up the immediate reactions part 1 and can't find it. IIRC the rules are you're not supposed to open the thread. But I often do, depending on the title and forum so as not to do exactly what happened to you.

Thank you for having the courage to start this discussion and under your name. I think had it happened to me I would have started something amother under emotional health. And if anyone would have written, Oh please, grow a something, I would have hoped that someone else would have reported the thread or told the poster off.
