Is your son desperate to go, or are you desperate for him to go? In any case, I think the way you're handling it, might be making the situation worse. You can't force DH to do something that he tried already once, and he didn't like it. Even if you would do it. It doesn't make him a bad father.

OP, I am completely in agreement with you.

I am writing very little as I don’t want to stroke any fires.


To others, it is not a haskafic issue. You would probably throw stones at me as I am so far to the left, but I too HATE how singers/sports players/actors are lauded and put on a pedestal. If someone has a great voice-good for them. Pay to listen to them sing, but why does society think that makes them an expert in politics, fashion, and healthcare?
