I had a company deliver an appliance to me and they scratched my entire wall. We just painted and now the wall is ruined in multiple places.
I told the delivery boys to be careful, but in their defense, it was a tight turn on the stairs and the appliance was heavy.
I called the owner and he said that although he didn't make any verbal or written disclaimer to me, he really doesn't take responsibility.
Is this the norm? I am obviously super upset.

Yikes. That is really upsetting. Was it wrapped or bare? If they had to remove the packaging because it was a tight space I’m not sure it’s their achrayus. Prob a question for a rav. If the appliance was damaged that’s something else…

They unwrapped it as soon as they took it off the truck.

Is from a professional/reliable place? I would think they should unwrap it in its location. Unless it was in a large box. Otherwise they risk the appliance and your property getting damage…
Not that it helps if the damage was done…
