I got a nice comfortable (obviously on the thin side), flattering shirt. But you can see the diagonal lines from the bra on my chest if you look closely. Is that tacky? nerdy? inappropriate? (I have another bra that doesn't show through but I don't like the shape as much!)

Don’t ask your LOR.
Use common sense.
“Hello, rav. What do you think about seeing bra lines through my shirt?”
Seriously? Just don’t!

Thank you! Laugh

Op, I got a bralette to wear over my bra. Gives great shape and hides the bra lines.

Yes lol I was hoping that when she considers asking and feels awkward, she'll have her answer.

I wear a sleeveless, cropped kiki Riki shell or a sports bra over my regular bra with thin shirts that have this problem. The shell works better than the bra.

The material is actually ribbed, but for some reason doesn't show at all even with a thin shirt.

Thanks! I guess I knew the answer and was really asking what can I do about it! Which I got answered too. Ordered the bralette from target, and if that doesn't work I can try a shell. Thanks everyone!

Bra lines should never show. While we're on the subject, neither should panty lines.

Bra lines in the back are almost impossible to hide completely with a t-shirt.

You can get a cropped cami. They are much thinner (and cheaper) than a shell.

Let’s be honest, it can also depends on how thin or not thin you are.
You used to never see anything on me. I gained 30 lb. I went up sizes but still, so much harder.

I wear a shell and you can still my bra lines. Same with s as slip and panty lines. It’s not so simple.

I just saw a (frum) lady yesterday with a cream colored t-shirt and black bra lines... yes. Tacky, nerdy, inappropriate, all of that together.

Before I knew what tznius was, and I'm big chested I never ever wore a shirt where u could see my bra-lines because it looked so cheap, I felt like a Essex girl with orange foundation and fake eyelashes that looked like spiders.

Just to be clear it is nothing like the last 2 posters are suggesting. If you look closely when I'm in a certain position, or my crossbody bag is there you can see it. I don't think everyone would even notice but I don't like my underwear lines showing either so yeah I hope the bralette solves the problem

in the same vein, yesterday I saw a young lady in my kosher supermarket, wearing a white straight skirt, I think it was a uniform. and you could see her dark colored undies through it. it was so uncomfortale. I wasnt sure if I should say something beacuse I didnt know her etc.
what would people do, tell her or not?

My LOR doesn’t appreciate such questions.
If your underwear is recognizable, the shirt is not good.
