Discussion came up at work, turns out most at work remove their arm hair. I don't know if I've been living under a rock, but I really didn't think this was common... Now I feel self conscious about my arms Can't Believe It

I go for waxings, it grows back very slowly compared to other parts so I don't need to go that often. I just like how it looks. No idea how common it is though.

First I thought you meant underarm and I definitely do. I’ve never touched my arm hair. But I’m not so hairy.

Been wondering this too.
I never waxed my arm hair but been thinking about starting. When I look at friends I can’t tell if they wax or just don’t have a lot of hair.
I’m nervous to start and then it’ll grow back worse
Also it is a thing in non Jewish world, I remember a craze about bleaching arm hair even

I shave my arm hair like once a month. It grows very slowly. It looks so much nicer like that when you wear 3/4 sleeve tops.

No no no no.

Shaving arms and longs have been common grooming among women for decades if not longer.

Underarms? Yes

Forearms? Never seen it. Not among my friends, family or coworkers.

It's probably more common among (ashkenazy) jews. Because we typically have light skin with dark hair.

I do it on occasion. I don't care enough to do it always.

I have dark long hair on light skin so I do shave it. But I've noticed so so many people dont.

I've seen it more on sephardi, because their hair is darker. As ashkenazi my arm hair is very, very light. If I would shave it would probably turn darker (like what happened to my legs Sad )

My arm hair is blonde and not dense, but a French friend in seminary used to remove her arm hair, so I tried it once. It came back brown and thicker, so I waited a few months until it was bleached by the sun again, and never touched it since.

Doesnt waxing make it grow back slower?

And shaving is more coarser?

Thats why I havent touched a razor but I never thought of waxing....its a good idea.

Forearms? Never

It's enough to keep on top of all the other places I shave. Not looking to add more to the list!

The only people that I know who do it are super hairy .
My arm hair doesn’t bother me at all. You can barely see anything.
There are people who do full body laser , so I’m assuming it includes the arms.

I remove mine. I have a lot of hair and it's really dark. I started about 12 years ago and do it once every 2-3 months. It takes a while to grow back.

I think it is really based on how much hair you have and how dark it is. I have a lot of hair but it is very light so I don't care. If it was dark I would get it waxed.
