I would like to get a nice house for a nice price, which is almost impossible in monsey.
Was thinking of Washingtonville.
Any idea?

In Barns or farther down?
I just moved to BG and the broker kept pushing me I should take something in Barns.
He told me that there are a few yidden there and it will fill up in the summer.
Something didn't make sense for me so I asked him for a number of someone living there. I called the number that he gave me and that person told me he doesn't live there at all.
You can get a beautiful house in Barns for 500k with an acre lot but the closest shul is 1.5 hours walk which wasn't doable for my family.

I don't know, but my sister's friend is moving with fellow kollel families from EY to washingtonville this summer.

What does very yeshivishe mean?

Very Yeshivish meaning very filtered internet, no smartphone... At least one of the families, I'm assuming all. Don't know how big the group is

Very satmar and more recently viznitz ppl moved out.
Eta there is a litvisha yeshiva somewhere in the BG area.
Also, afaik Washingtonville is kind of an extension to BG. Quite surprised there will be a Yeshivish community!

Which side are you on?
Ps there are definitely yidden in Washingtonville. Theres a family I know that lived in BG and they moved further up. They had to be evacuated when the wildfires were going on right after pesach. I also know another family that lives on a huge property in Washingtonville, but they have to import minyan every shabbos.

What do you mean extend from monsey?
Monsey and Monroe are bound to meet pretty soon- but this even further up.
