BT here... I know it's not shayach as a frum family, but I miss growing up when we would have summer vacations and be by the pool and order yummy food and stay in resorts etc... I wish I could have this now. it was just so geshmak

Is there anything close that I could do? I was thinking maybe staying in Long branch nj? Are there any water activities or parks that I could go to with my two little kids without it being very untznius? Any ideas to get that feeling??

yes, that's right by longbranch. But where specifically and doing what there would give us that kind of vacation?

IDK, never been 🤷‍♀️ but I got the impression it's a sefardi beach town so you could probably get a rental on the beach and eat out at restaurants

You can rent a house with a pool near a frum community. So you can go swimming and eat out.

Lots of places like this-Florida, Lakewood, etc.

Lakewoodhosts.com has homes for short term /weekend rentals in Lakewood and Florida.
Some have pools, such as the one in Lakewood they call “The Lakeside Villa”. It’s also right on the lake.
Monsey would also have, I’m sure.

Not saying these places are cheap..costs vary by size, amenities, location.

Long Beach in LI has shuls and kosher food nearby. There is a hotel and home rentals as well.

A lot of people rent homes with private pools.
When going to the beach they take girls and little kids.
Some men aren't careful and hop along but concentrate on taking care of the kids and playing in the sand with them.

I go to the beach all the time with a swim cover up and I go swimming. I go to the beach at Manhattan Beach or Coney Island.

We do family swim (just me, dh, and kids) using a private pool with all females wearing coverups over their swimsuits.

You really can’t go to an open beach with frum boys/men. The only time we’ve done that has been in quiet areas when it was cold enough that people were mostly dressed.
