We haven't traveled internationally for years and years, and DC will be flying. I understand the checked in piece for United Airlines must be under 50 lbs, and dimensions no more than 62 inch total.
Carry on must be 9x22x14, with 14 being the length.
I am having an extremely difficult time finding economically priced luggage that is decent, and fits those qualifications.
I'd like to purchase online.
Any recommendations that are tried and true?
Thanks!

Costco. Always good quality and well priced for what you are getting.
If for some reason it doesn’t hold up, you can return

Honestly, go to Costco’s website. Pick something and then find a friend to order for you and Venmo them the price paid, including tax -usually it is free shipping. It can be shipped to you.
I would gladly do it for someone. Not only is it super easy and no skin off my back, but I get 2% back so I would probably get about $3-$4 in my end of year rewards from your purchase (you need to specify that any rewards they get is a TY gift and not Ribbit.)

Is any luggage from Costco covered with their warranties? Or only their own brand if they have one? Only if you’re a member?
Cuz some companies are available to order online from Costco even though I’m not a member.

Anything they sell on their website would be returnable.
Not sure how Costco Next works with returns, as it is through a link, not them directly.
If you buy from the regular website, to return you might need the member to go with you as it would be on their membership. But You might not need to, call the 800 number and ask.
