I chose my name based on my lived reality at the time: I was living with many littles with different anaphylactic allergies and came on here looking for chizuk and recipes.

I like chicken soup, I like my own the most because lots of others are meh to me especially take out. It is always too salty. I like clean broth of chicken soup, im a professional or professor in my own soup. I love my soup.

I am an eldest sister.
And though I don’t feel like I can always give wise motherly advice, I am good at being a fun and caring big sister.
Yeah. It was a very deliberate choice not to have “mother/mommy/ima” etc. in my username. It’s a part of my identity that is so important and meaningful, but I chafe against letting it define me.

I've thought of starting such a thread...
My account was opened years ago by a Co workers recommendation. And there it lay dormant. Till almost a year ago. When I became an active user.
My first user name had my initial. And paranoid me, was too afraid to post till I changed it to something really anonymous.
My current user name was chosen too quickly. I actually plan too change it. It's too cloying-ly sweet.
Some of you, your names are amazing. So original!

If you'd like to see more, you can search threads on usernames. We usually get one or two asking this question every year.
I chose mine because I was a Reform chazzanit before becoming BT. And I'm a music teacher now.

If you want to search it, put the space between user name (not username).
That's how almost everyone titles their thread on this topic.

Oh wow! I always wondered if it was something to do with your occupation. The Reform chazzanit bit is really exotic!
