She's been telling me since Wednesday or Thursday, forgot which. At first I figured she'd pulled a muscle. I told her to lmk if it changes at all. She hates taking medicine cuz if the taste and can't swallow pills. So I figured we'd wait it out. Over Shabbos I told her that if it still hurts by Monday we are going to the Dr - which she doesn't like going to either. So, after tonight hearing her cry how much it hurts and actually taking Motrin twice today - I'm calling the Dr iyh first thing in the morning.
But I'm actually very flummoxed on what it could be! I've pulled muscles before and it was never that bad...

I didn't know it can give such bad pain... I also think it's mostly in her shoulder more than her chest, but it travels a little. She's also not a big eater or adventurous, so no new foods at all for years.
I appreciate the comment, though.

Gall bladder?
If that's what it is, do everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, to prevent having it removed. Even if that means seeking alternative health treatment or whatever other stuff is out there and you absolutely don't believe in it.

Constant pain, or comes and goes?
Breast growing pains can be very painful. It's not a constant pain though.

Does the pain come and go with every breath, like a stitch? I get that every so often, it's horrible and I don't know what it is. It's in the spot just under where my collar and shoulder bone meet. I sometimes get the same pain lower down, like at the top of my breast.

I assume your dd is still young and I don't want to unnecessarily alarm you, but to me, chest pain + shoulder pain should be checked out quickly to rule out a heart issue. It would be relatively rare for a child so I don't think it's worth freaking out over, but it's not impossible. I don't think I'd feel comfortable pushing this off for days.

Thanks for all the replies!
We went to the Dr today. She said it seems like a pulled muscle and the pain could actually last for a few weeks. Which I didn't know. But we should keep an eye on her if it's getting better or worse, or more symptoms.
There was no specific incident that my DD said she hurt herself. So it still may not be that. However we're just going to keep our eyes open right now.
She's almost 13 for reference (already two years+ into puberty). She rarely complains of pain. BH when the pain is not hurting her it's just dull discomfort.
Iyh it's nothing major and she'll feel better soon!
Appreciate the thoughts!

My daughter was complaining of chest pain when she had CMV! No idea why! She was crying from pain every time ibuprofen stopped working.
