The passuk in Nach calls it צום החמישי. The Megillas Taanis and the Gemara Taanis discuss the fast and halachos of Tisha Beav extensively.

Thank you for this. So why is it considered such an important fast if it's not even deoraysa or from the torah? Wouldn't this be a dirabanan since there's no biblical source?

Half of what we do is derabanan. Muktza the malachas basically all of kashrus. We’re not tzedoikim. What are you even saying?

What? I’m confused. The basis of being a frum Jew is following all of it including derabanan. What’s your background?
