Do other chassidim look at you like you truly belong?
Do you understand the nuances of your chassidus both socially and hashkafically?
What are your children like?
I met a few people in my life that "became" chassidish- either they were modern orthodox growing up or completely not frum. One woman was sefardi and became satmar. Not sure how that works to understand the nuances of the community though.

1. I have no idea, this isn’t something I really think about. But if it helps to answer the question, I’ve “fit in” much more than I ever did in the secular world. By looks alone most people assume off the bat I grew up chassidish- but where I grew up/the lack of frum schooling I had/how I pronounce some words give away my secular background. Overall I’ve never been met with rejection bh
2. I understand as much as I’m able to and from what my in laws have told me. There are for sure things I’m unaware of and will continue to learn
3. I don’t have children yet

did your dh grow up chassidish? how did you two meet?
were you chassidish when you were single?
I thought shaving went acc. to minhag of your mother- how come you took that minhag on if your mother doesnt shave?

1. Yep, he grew up chassidish and we met by being introduced
2. I was very chassidish-leaning
3. I took it on because it felt the best for me to do both b’ruchnius and also just practicality. Even after I got married nobody ever told me how short/long my hair should be underneath my sheital so I just did what I wanted
