I mean we took the schach down so technically it's not a sukkah anymore right?

Ours is still up. DH usually takes it down on a Sunday, but only if it's completely dry so it won't go moldy/mildewy in our garage. We've had too many rainy weekends for that to happen yet.

So our succah is technically apart but we have beams attached to the top of the porch and our schach is still on. I have a feeling it will stay on until next year unless we have a snow storm or something.

It would’ve been if I wouldn’t have gotten it down myself. It blocks my view so I did. Last year it stayed up all year for those Laura Doyle fans looking at me.

This is so classic. The parallel in the general world is the x-mas lights hanging outside

Na, not that classic. It bothers most people to have this big bulky structure in their space and their view. I recon sukkahs come don a lot faster then any holiday lights.

Our Sukkah doesn't come down, it's a gap between 3 rooms on our house. The schach stays up until my husband gets someone to take it down. Usually a couple of months.

Ours is up and I'm happy to keep procrastinating. We live in a very hot state and it's providing beautiful shade ☺️

Usually, it takes forever for dh to take it off, but this year, the boss of the apartment told him to take it down cause he wants to put up scaffolding.

Yes. Dh has been so busy doing stuff for the war he hasn't gotten to it. It's pretty high and a ladder on a small porch is not somewhere I want to be.

We should probably just hire someone but I'm too overhwlemed and dh keeps saying why pay someone when he will get to it....

I know there's volunteers doing it for men in reserve but dh isn't in reserve, just doing volunteer and Chesed work and I don't feel right taking that away from someone else...

The walls are down and the schach. But the folding tables , the folding chairs and all the 2x4s were left as is . Not to mention that my household majority is made up of male adults or teens .

Ours is usually down after Simchat Torah. (we hold 1 day). This year we heard about the war so most families didn't take down for a few days.
