I got a Tineco a few months ago and love it. However, in the beginning I was not diligent about cleaning the tank (emptied and rinsed, but didnt deep clean) and it now has a moldy smell that I have not been able to get rid of, even when it is sparkling clean. When I use it, the smell comes out and it sort of mars the cleaning experience Smile.
I have already changed the brush too... Anyone has any solutions?

Take off the piece that covers the brush. There’s usually a lot of gunk stuck in there. When it starts smelling, I take it apart completely. Wipe whatever I can down with Clorox wipes, then soak all the pieces in warm water with dish soap for a few hours. Then let it all air dry completely.

It seems like you already are, but it’s important to take it apart, rinse, and air dry after each use.

you take apart the brush after each use? That's a lot of maintenance.
I do a self clean after each use and wash the DWT

Yes. I take it apart. Otherwise it smells. I use it for the entire house so the maintenance is worth it for me.

Ugh you’re scaring me. I’m so lazy with cleaning my Tineco because it has a self cleaning button so I tell myself it’s fine. I better start washing it out and air drying every time….

The consequences are usually swift in coming so if it doesn’t smell yet you’re doing something right…

Would anyone care to share what model you have? I'm looking to purchase one now.
