I’m setting up an email address for a business I’m starting.
Does anyone have any experience creating an email if they don’t have a domain yet?
Is it worth paying for Outlook/Gmail Workspace to have the email address look professional instead of using regular free gmail? For example, me@mycompany.com looks more professional than mycompany@gmail.com. Is it worth paying for this?

I just did this this week. You're going to need to purchase your domain anyway so that no one else takes it even if you don't want a website right now.
So I purchased the domain first and then I opened up a gmail business account so I can have a professional email address. I was back and forth on using outlook or gmail workspace and I ended up going with gmail because I have a day job where I use outlook and didn't want it to be confusing.
