I just scheduled a neuropsych evaluation for ds5. I didn’t realize it would be a full day! (9-4!)
What can I expect? What will the evaluation be like for him?

I came twice over 2 days but basically a bunch of looking in workbooks and doing exercises with the evaluator like can you point to this, copy this shape, tell me what happens next. If they're good they'll make it like a game and keep it moving.

Then some open ended play as a break and also observing them.

Bring lots of food and snacks. Something to bribe with like chocolate chips or jelly beans, etc. They should have prizes but you can plan or promise (bribe) treats and prizes.

Thanks! They offered me 2 half days also, but I can’t decide what’s better. It’s an incredibly long day to do it all at once, but my son is anxious about these things, And if he doesn’t like the first day, it’s going to be a lot harder getting him to go back a second time.

Anyone else have more tips or experiences to share? What should I tell my son to expect?
