gifting a single girl who did something extraordinary for our family
relative tipped me off that if I'd get her a necklace she can wear to simchas she'd be over the moon happy
so for the boro park chasidish sort of crowd - which necklace would it be?
don't feel I can trust the store salesladies all the way
I want to go in knowing what I'm looking for

I think 20 year olds wear really expensive necklaces to simchas nowadays (diamond heart or other diamond pendant is typical)

What's your price range? I agree with the PP. If you don't want to spend in the thousands, go to TipTop.

I got Diamond solitaire when I was 20 (unmarried) 25 years later it’s still a classic. It’s great to know that something can/will be worn and loved for decades

Colored stones are really in now, Maybe you can do more of a sapphire solitaire look.
I'm not sure why you don't want the input of the saleslady they know their field best. Tell her your budget and who you're buying for and see what she shows you. You don't have to buy it if you don't like it but you'll get an idea of what's out there...

Ask the family relative to give you an idea of what style she would like

I agree that classic styles are timeless and get way more use.
OP whatever you buy, just leave a gift receipt so she can exchange it if she wants. Some people want to just know that they can even if they dont.

What does marital status have to do with jewelry?
