Thinking out loud
My children seem to be born missing the motivation/exploration chip.
Ages 5 to 15
Most of them are generally uncurious and never seek out topics of Interest Etc
They are very happy with themselves though, as if it's not missing in their life
I am the opposite extreme. Swallow knowledge, research bug, always learning, very motivated, go-getter and goal oriented
Wondering what I can do differently to encourage them
They love screen time I'm trying to limit it
They read books but only on topics that interest them
I have a full library with varying topics and only certain books keep getting touched
They listen to cds and enjoy it, but also here they go back to the same ones again and I can encourage changing but they always seem to go back to what's comfortable
Any ideas?

With the younger ones, read nonfiction books together. With the older ones, share newspaper articles. Email or text links to interesting articles you read and talk about them with your kids.
With the entire family, watch documentaries. Discuss politics and newsworthy items at the dinner table.
You can't force them to expand their horizons, but you can quietly encourage it.

How much screen time do they have? The first thing I would suggest is limiting screen time as much as possible.

Idk sounds normal to me. Your kids don't necessarily have your personality.
